Founder of Engelmed Dr. Louise Engelbrecht has extensive clinical experience across both the public and private healthcare sectors.
Her background includes medical and surgical disciplines at Tembisa Tertiary Hospital, where she also contributed to the development of clinical protocols for family medicine practice.
Her private sector experience includes multiple general practices, advanced emergency units and operating theatres. Her clinical expertise spans acute and emergency medicine, chronic disease management and comprehensive primary healthcare, complemented by additional training in dermatology and aesthetic medicine.
She also holds a dispensing licence. She is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred healthcare that combines clinical expertise with a comprehensive understanding of human physiology.
It was this rigorous clinical background that inspired her to establish Engelmed in 2022.
